Comprehensive Auto Brake Repair Services

We provide a full range of brake repair services to ensure your fleet vehicles perform at their best. Our services include:

Air Brakes
Air brakes use compressed air rather than hydraulic fluid to generate the stopping force needed for heavy-duty trucks, buses, trailers, and other commercial vehicles. Because these systems are designed to handle significantly heavier loads than passenger vehicles, they rely on multiple components working together to provide consistent, dependable braking performance.

Like any braking system, air brakes require routine inspections and maintenance to remain safe and reliable. Leaks, worn brake chambers, damaged airlines, or improperly adjusted components can reduce braking performance and increase stopping distances. At Sundance Auto Service & Machine, our experienced technicians can inspect, diagnose, and repair air brake systems to help keep your fleet operate safely and in compliance.

Brake Maintenance & Repair
Your fleet vehicle's braking system is one of its most important safety features. Whether you're hauling heavy cargo or making frequent stops throughout the day, properly functioning brakes are essential for maintaining control and protecting both the driver and everyone else on the road.

Warning signs such as squealing or grinding noises, vibrations while braking, increased stopping distances, or a soft brake pedal should never be ignored. Regular brake inspections allow worn components to be identified before they lead to more extensive damage or unexpected downtime. If your truck isn't braking as confidently as it should, the team at Sundance Auto Service & Machine can perform a complete brake system inspection and recommend the repairs needed to restore safe, reliable stopping power.

Hydraulic Brakes
While many heavy-duty commercial trucks use air brakes, some medium-duty trucks, delivery vehicles, and commercial vans are equipped with hydraulic braking systems. Hydraulic brakes work by using pressurized brake fluid to transfer force from the brake pedal to the brake calipers or wheel cylinders, allowing the vehicle to slow down safely and predictably.

Over time, hydraulic brake components such as brake lines, hoses, calipers, master cylinders, and seals can wear or develop leaks that reduce braking performance. Regular brake fluid inspections and routine maintenance help keep the system operating properly and can prevent more costly repairs down the road. Visit Sundance Auto Service & Machine or call us at 602-340-0966, our technicians will provide complete hydraulic brake inspections, diagnostics, and repairs to help keep your commercial vehicles operating safely and reliably.

What's Included in a Fleet Brake Inspection?

A thorough brake inspection looks beyond a single component to evaluate the condition and performance of the braking system as a whole. What gets inspected will vary depending on the vehicle and the type of braking system it uses.

During a fleet brake inspection, technicians may check:

  • Brake pads or shoes
  • Rotors or drums
  • Brake calipers
  • Brake fluid condition and level
  • Brake hoses and lines
  • Brake hardware
  • ABS components
  • Air brake components, where applicable

Regular inspections can help identify worn or damaged components before braking performance is affected, whether your fleet consists of service vans, pickup trucks, delivery vehicles, or larger commercial vehicles.

How Driving Conditions Affect Brake Wear

How quickly brakes wear depends heavily on how and where fleet vehicles are driven. Frequent stop-and-go traffic, urban delivery routes, heavy loads, towing, mountainous terrain, and repeated short trips can place additional demand on brake pads, rotors, and other braking components.

Because of these differences, brake maintenance shouldn't always follow a one-size-fits-all schedule. A local delivery fleet making dozens of stops each day may need brake inspections more frequently than vehicles that accumulate most of their mileage on highways. Factoring operating conditions into your preventive maintenance schedule can help catch excessive brake wear before it leads to larger repairs or unexpected downtime.

I ran out of gas right at the corner across the street from this shop, and the man working at Sundance was so kind, he located a gas can, filled it, asked me to please return it on my way back from getting gas, all without any question, in 110° heat, he saved me from having to walk and risk getting towed from where my truck was still in the street. A company run by empathic humans is the best in any business. These guys rock!

"WAS" a happy customer with Peoria Ford's service dept. I've used Peoria Ford for years and always took my 2011 Ford Fusion to them for all service needs. Well... my last service was terrible. (See Google Review) After a disaster with Peoria Ford's repair shop, I took my 2011 Ford Fusion SEL to this recommended Auto Repair Shop "Sundance Auto Service & Machine Shop". The shop may not look as snazzy as Peoria Ford's, but the mechanics know their stuff. John quickly and correctly diagnosed the problem within a few hours and gave me a great price to do all the work. Apparently the "Vehicle Control Arms" needed replacement as the bushings were totally worn out. A dangerous situation if not repaired. Something the Peoria Ford service department should have noticed and informed me of. But no. Not one peep about control arms from Peoria Ford. After I gave John the go ahead, Sundance not only repaired the car perfectly, but it also only took them one day to do everything. Dropped the car off that morning and picked it up the next day before noon. And I believe the price would have been nowhere near what Peoria Ford would have charged and probably still not fix the problem. Thank you, John, at Sundance Auto Service & Machine Shop for the great repair job.
