Services We Perform
When it comes to suspension and driveline health, multiple components work together to maintain ride quality, control, and safety. Our automotive suspension repair services are designed to address these systems thoroughly and effectively. Here are some of the services we offer:
Shock Absorbers
We replace worn or leaking shocks that affect your ride comfort and stability. New shocks help your tires grip the road better and improve overall control.
Steering Repair
Your steering system allows you to maintain control and direction while driving. Our steering repair services address loose, worn, or damaged components to help restore safe, precise handling.
Struts
Struts are a key part of your suspension system. We offer strut replacements to restore proper ride height, handling, and stopping power.
Suspension Repair
Your suspension system is responsible for ride comfort, handling, and stability. We provide suspension repair services to correct worn components, improve vehicle control, and restore a smooth, safe ride.
Do You Need Suspension Repair?
A worn or failing suspension system can quickly affect both comfort and safety if ignored. Here are some common signs that it's time to schedule steering and suspension repair:
Feeling Every Bump on the Road:Your suspension should absorb road imperfections. If you feel every pothole or dip, key components may be worn.
Nose Dives When Braking:Excessive forward dipping during braking often signals failing shocks, particularly in the front suspension.
Pulling or Drifting When Turning:This can indicate worn shocks or struts, reducing stability and control during cornering.
Uneven Tire Wear:If your suspension isn't holding the car level, it puts more pressure on certain tires, wearing them down faster.
Benefits of Steering and Suspension Repairs
Addressing suspension problems goes beyond ride comfort-it directly impacts control and safety. Proper steering and suspension repair helps your tires maintain consistent contact with the road, even during sharp turns or sudden stops.
Better handling and stability:
- Stay in control, especially in emergencies or rough driving conditions.
Longer tire lifespan:
- Even suspension means even tire wear, which saves you money in the long run.
Improved fuel efficiency:
- A properly aligned suspension reduces drag and rolling resistance.
Lower long-term repair costs:
- Small issues in your suspension system can lead to bigger (and more expensive) damage over time.

What Our Customers Are Saying
Always do great work with our motors in there machine shop
I ran out of gas right at the corner across the street from this shop, and the man working at Sundance was so kind, he located a gas can, filled it, asked me to please return it on my way back from getting gas, all without any question, in 110° heat, he saved me from having to walk and risk getting towed from where my truck was still in the street. A company run by empathic humans is the best in any business. These guys rock!
"WAS" a happy customer with Peoria Ford's service dept. I've used Peoria Ford for years and always took my 2011 Ford Fusion to them for all service needs. Well... my last service was terrible. (See Google Review) After a disaster with Peoria Ford's repair shop, I took my 2011 Ford Fusion SEL to this recommended Auto Repair Shop "Sundance Auto Service & Machine Shop". The shop may not look as snazzy as Peoria Ford's, but the mechanics know their stuff. John quickly and correctly diagnosed the problem within a few hours and gave me a great price to do all the work. Apparently the "Vehicle Control Arms" needed replacement as the bushings were totally worn out. A dangerous situation if not repaired. Something the Peoria Ford service department should have noticed and informed me of. But no. Not one peep about control arms from Peoria Ford. After I gave John the go ahead, Sundance not only repaired the car perfectly, but it also only took them one day to do everything. Dropped the car off that morning and picked it up the next day before noon. And I believe the price would have been nowhere near what Peoria Ford would have charged and probably still not fix the problem. Thank you, John, at Sundance Auto Service & Machine Shop for the great repair job.
Excellent
